Assignment: Sketch, Draw, or Paint from Observation (color) 

Students were asked to capture light, color, form, and movement in the landscape and encouraged to work in a ‘loose’ technique similar to Monet, laying down some light pencil sketches, areas of color, and then working on top to capture more fleeting details. They were encouraged to avoid only using  Local Color and strive for Perceptual Color and/or Optical Color.
